This section of the website is used to give credit to the gear that I use to get these amazing pictures. While the photographer puts the soul in his art, the gear one uses is also essential to create the complete experience that is captured in each photograph!
I am not paid to show these off and they are only here for whoever is interested and is wondering what kind of gear is used in certain photos.

Canon RP
As wildlife photographer someday I would like to get a camera that takes more then 10 frames per second, however that’s a long way away 🙂 I have found that Canon RP is a great body to begin photography with and is capable of most tasks. It’s not perfect at anything but good at most things.
Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM
This lens was the first one I bought with my camera because I was advised that a kit lens would be best to start with. I don’t regret it at all, it’s lots of fun to use this lens !
While the aperture is not on the low end it’s still nowhere near the higher end of the aperture spectrum. It is an incredibly flexible lens to have as your first one as you’re still trying to grasp what kind of photographer you want to be.

Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM
I didn’t really have much of an expectation when buying this lens, it was dirt cheap and it was small in size so I figured it would be great to purchase it. The idea was that it would be easy to take with me when I don’t want anything bulky in my hands or in my bag.
Turns out, not only do I use it when I’m lazy. It’s also great to experiment taking nightscape photos and all sorts of other applications. It’s sharp so my advice for this one is to pick it up if you get the chance, it’s not something that you will not live without but it’s definitely useful.
Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM
I never thought that wildlife photography would be something I would do. Like at all. However, it hit me like a train and it’s so satisfying when you get it just right. When that bird looks you in the eyes and you hit that shutter just in time to capture that moment!
Before you get to that moment you need a telephoto lens, ideally a super telephoto like this one! I was discouraged when I firstly saw the price tags on 600mm and 800mm lenses because the amount of money was absurd for me, a beginner in photography. This lens is very cheap when compared to other lenses with the same focal length and as a bonus it’s much lighter! Needless to say, this lens is not perfect but it gets the job done and well! Especially if you live in a sunny island like I do.

Vanguard ALTA RISE 48
At this point it was obvoius to me that the situation was getting out of hand! Too much stuff to have laying around. I didn’t really give this too much thought in what I want in a backpack and I am not too picky, however this backpack has been a great investment none the less it has anything one would need. I think 🙂
Travel Tripod by Peak Design
I’ll admit! Unlike for when I was choosing a bag, I was really picky about what to buy as a tripod. To be perfectly honest, I don’t regret a cent I spent on this tripod: it’s light, strong enough for all my gear and when closed it takes no space when compared to other tripods. Additionally, it comes with a lifetime guarantee. If you’re still looking for a tripod, I definitely recommend that you check this one out.

Canon RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM
I don’t know what to say about this one, it’s a relatively new addition to my set and I am still getting used to it. I have been eagerly waiting for it and now I am excited to put it to the test! 😉
